Above - Rue Anemone (Anemonella thalictroides) one of my all time favorite wildflowers. I have rescued several different groups of these through the years, some as long ago as 26 years ago. I have had light pink, purple and one semi-double, none survived except the white and light pink (which hasn't spread, but makes a nice little clump). The white one have colonized half my property and I let them, they come in the mid-March and disappear by late June. Very ferny foliage starts reddish bronze and changes to green. |
